Arlington VA real estate market. Days on market decreased 12.86%. The average list price sales price ratio at 94.64% LP/SP ratio is a slight improvement that we are headed in the right direction. It reflects that it is still a buyers market, and that sellers on the average can expect to give up about 5.4% off the list price of the home to make a sale. That is not counting sellers contributions or concessions to the purchaser.

MLS (MRIS) just released the most recent Arlington VA home sales statistics for our region on January 10 2010, for December 2009 home sales. What I decided to do was compare this to the same September time frame from December 2005 forward to December 2009. In December 2009 we saw 200 homes sold in Arlington Virginia. If we compare this to December of 2006 the peak market with 250 sales is a 25% drop in the number of homes sold in Arlington County Virginia.
